Our winery is located on the Old Mission Peninsula, one of Michigan’s most esteemed viticultural regions. Surrounded by the cooling waters of Grand Traverse Bay, the peninsula offers a unique microclimate ideal for cultivating grapes of exceptional sweetness and purity.
The mineral-rich soil, moderated temperatures, and long growing season combine to produce fruit of outstanding depth and balance. It is here, on this blessed land, that our sacramental wine begins.

Behind every bottle of Ascension wine is a team of seasoned vintners and Orthodox faithful who share a singular purpose: to create a wine worthy of the altar.
He grew up in Moldova, surrounded by vineyards and the tradition of winemaking. He developed a deep respect for the craft and earned a degree in enology. His winemaking journey began in Moldova, where he worked as a winemaker.
Later, he expanded his expertise in New Zealand, gaining experience in traditional and innovative winemaking. For the past two decades, he has lived in Michigan, crafting Chalice Wine with a blend of Old World tradition, modern technique, and a commitment to quality and purpose.
